Music Ministry
Westbrook Congregational Church values making beautiful music to honor God. Our vocal and handbell choirs are integral parts of our worship services. Singers and ringers of any level of experience are welcomed!
Savannah Curro joined the WCC staff in the summer of 2023. She graduated from the Townsend School of Music at Mercer University where she earned degrees in both Organ Performance and History. She is a current student at the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. Savannah’s playing has been featured on National Public Radio’s Pipedreams radio program and she has performed at venues including the Methuen Memorial Music Hall and King’s Chapel. As a church musician, Savannah has served a wide variety of denominations. Most recently, she directed the music programs at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (Hawkinsville, GA) and St. Andrew’s-by-the-Sea Summer Chapel (Rye, NH).
Our choir rehearses on Thursday nights and Sunday mornings. We welcome singers of all experience levels with a love of making music for the Lord. This is a lively group of singers with the best seats in the sanctuary. The choir are partners in worship from September-June and take a summer hiatus. David is a longtime resident of Westbrook and our handbell choir director. He has been a member of Westbrook Congregational Church since 1999. You can often find David at the beach or out riding on his much loved Vespa. Our handbell choir rehearses on Fridays.
