Westbrook Congregational Church values making beautiful music to honor God. Our vocal and handbell choirs are integral parts of our worship services. Singers and ringers of any level of experience are welcomed!
Our Music Director , Zoe Vandermeer, leads our spirit-filled choir. She is a native of California and an accomplished musician. Zoe is a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, a CT Commission on Culture and Tourism Recipient, and made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2014. Zoe performs in the US and abroad as a dramatic coloratura soprano and Welsh and Celtic harpist. She teaches voice, harp, and music theory lessons. Our choir rehearses on Thursday nights and Sunday mornings. We welcome singers with a love of making music for the Lord. Contact Zoe for more information about our joyful choir.
David is a longtime resident of Westbrook and our handbell choir director. He has been a member of Westbrook Congregational Church since 1999. You can often find David at the beach or out riding on his much loved Vespa. Our handbell choir rehearses on Fridays. There is no experience necessary, only a willingness to learn this wonderful way of praising God. Contact David for more information about our handbell choir.
