Children's Ministry

At Westbrook Congregational Church we highly value our children and youth as the key to our future. We warmly welcome wiggly young ones and youth to come as they are to sing, pray, serve, and worship with us.

Sunday school begins in worship, where youngsters experience communal worship's sights, sounds, and spirit. First Sundays are typically Intergenerational worship, where our young worshippers are active participants, worshipping with the congregation. On other Sundays during the academic year, after a message geared toward the young at heart, children go to our Children's Chapel for an engaging curriculum focused on Bible stories, service, and living our faith in everyday moments.

We follow Safe Church policies, and there are always two trained adults in instructional areas.  For more information, contact Becky Stambaugh

Youth Ministries

Our youth meet twice a month throughout the school year on Sunday evenings. We are a combined Youth Group with Old Saybrook and Essex Congregational churches, sharing in learning, activities, and service. Students do not need to be members of the participating churches to participate. All youth seeking a safe space to grow in faith, fellowship, and service are welcome.

We conduct a joint Confirmation program, a week-long summer mission trip, and numerous events throughout the year. For more information about Youth Programs and activities, contact  Becky Stambaugh
