Weddings

Westbrook Congregational Church is a charming sanctuary for a wedding, featuring a center aisle, Italian stained-glass windows, classic wooden pews, and a quality organ. We are conveniently located near popular shoreline wedding venues, making advance planning essential. However, we are much more than a beautiful sanctuary in a prime location; we are a house of worship with a vibrant family of God's people.  Since 1726, people have gathered on this hilltop in the heart of Westbrook to hear God's Word, serve our neighbors, and support one another in life's greatest joys and deepest sorrows.  We cherish weddings and the joy they bring to families and the larger family of God. When you marry at Westbrook Congregational Church, you become part of our enduring history and family.

Our pastor meets with all couples before agreeing to officiate weddings and guides them through premarital preparations. She will officiate weddings for couples who are not part of our denomination or official church members. Additionally, she will officiate weddings for those who have experienced divorce or come from various faith traditions. As an Open and Affirming Congregation, we support the rights and dignity of all individuals to marry, including the LGBTQ community. For planning purposes, please note that our historic sanctuary is not air-conditioned and serves as a Shoreline Soup Kitchen hot meal site on Friday evenings. Smoking and alcohol are not permitted on our campus. Couples interested should contact the pastor.
