What's Happening?
Our church is more than just Sunday prayers. There’s a whole lot happening with our community throughout the week. Our church is literally in the heart of Westbrook making us a hub of activity, housing many opportunities to gather, serve, and heal.
Events
Shoreline
Soup Kitchen
Shoreline Soup Kitchen is an interfaith service that provides food and fellowship to those in need and educates our community on hunger and poverty. We are a meal site every Friday evening and welcome clients and volunteers.
Yoga
Join our weekly adult yoga classes with Cheryl. Beginners to yoga and all levels of experience are welcome. Donations for class support the ministries of Westbrook Congregational Church
Casa De Misericordia
Spanish-speaking worship service every Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm with Pastor Edward.
Shoreline Youth Group
Youth from Essex, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook Congregational Churches gather on two Sunday Evenings monthly, plus additional events for fellowship, service, and faith exploration.
Monday Morning Devotions
Mondays at 9:30 am we gather in our Chapel for devotions. No preparation is needed. Come when you can, as often as you can.
Music Together
Sunny Train
Shake eggs, bang on drums, make music with the beloved Anastasia "Lala" and her music classes for babies through 8 year old children. Morning and afternoon sessions are available.
Sunday School
Sunday School beings in worship at 10:00 am. After a message geared toward our young worshippers, children go to their own Chapel space to engage in Bible stories and faith formation.
Java with
Pastor Jeanette
Pastor Jeanette has drop-in hours at Julie's Cup of Joe on Main St, Westbrook on Wednesdays from 8-10am, Sept-May. Community and church members are welcome to join her for a cup of coffee and conversation.
Choir
Our church choir welcomes singers of all abilities who love to sing to the Lord. They meet on Thursdays at 6:30 pm and Sunday mornings at 9:00 am for rehearsals. All are welcome!
Handbell Ringers
Our handbell group makes beautiful music during multiple Sunday worship services. They rehearse on Sundays at 11:15 and welcome ringers of all levels.
Alcoholics Anonymous
AA is a fellowship of people who help each other to stay sober. They offer help to anyone who has a drinking problem and wants to do something about it. We host two meetings per week on our church campus.
Narcotics Anonymous
NA offers recovery from the effects of addiction through working a twelve-step program. They provide an ongoing support network for addicts who wish to pursue and maintain a drug-free lifestyle. We host a weekly NA meeting.
